Introduction to Sterling Akitas

Thanks for visiting Sterling Akitas. Though we don't breed very often, we strive with each breeding to produce pups that are a reflection in looks and temperament of what Akitas are all about.

The dogs on our site cannot demonstrate their temperaments. Jenji can't "woo" at you; Gem can't show you her version of a happy face. T can't give you Akita love nibbles nor can Abby give you a slurp, but you can see what a good-looking gang they are!

You may have already gleaned that our approach to raising Akitas is a bit off the beaten track than most others. We believe strongly that optimal nutrition is the foundation and the key to health. Thus, we feed our dogs a raw meat diet and wean our puppies onto that diet. We expect our buyers to do the same. Take a minute to read the overview of our philosophy to get a better idea of what our stance entails.
